About the Foundation

 The Hogg Foundation for Mental Health was established in 1940 at The University of Texas at Austin. Our vision is for all people in Texas to thrive in resilient communities that support mental health and well-being. It is our mission to support Texas communities’ capacity to advance mental health in everyday life.

Staff members at the Hogg Foundation include experts with a wide range of knowledge and understanding of mental health, and a rare mix of academic training and lived experience to draw from. The name of our organization is “Hogg Foundation for Mental Health.” Any subsequent references in articles and other publications can read “Hogg Foundation” or “the foundation.” The Hogg Foundation for Mental Health logo should be reproduced only from supplied artwork. The Hogg Foundation and Partners Have Awarded $6.5 Million in Grants to Support Well-being in Rural and Rural Border Communities

The Hogg Foundation, along with two partner foundations, has awarded $6.5 million in grant funding over five years to 11 organizations to improve mental health, resilience, and well-being in rural and rural border communities. The Strengthening the Mental Health of Rural and Rural Border Communities initiative will build on community strengths and foster community-driven solutions to create, support, celebrate, and promote mental well-being.
