Ongoing Initiatives
Arts and Humanities Research Grants for Early Career Faculty
This initiative aims to produce and publish research findings of scholarly works investigating the interface of mental health, well-being, and the arts and humanities.
Mental Health Policy Fellows and Policy Academy
The program increases individuals’ and organizations’ capacity and expertise to advance mental health policy in Texas, while also increasing the consumer voice in policy development and implementation.
Reliable Flexible Funding
The goal is to assist these organizations in addressing disparities in mental health outcomes and philanthropic funding.
Strengthening the Mental Health of Rural and Rural Border Communities
This initiative builds on community strengths and fosters community-driven solutions to help develop, support, celebrate, and promote mental well-being in rural and rural border communities.
Texas Capacity Building and Resiliency Initiative
The goal of this pilot grant initiative is to advance resiliency and capacity building among community-driven organizations by investing in their priorities. These priorities must align with at least one of the foundation’s four strategic focus areas: Community; Partnerships; Policy; and Research, Innovation, and Education.
Texas Grants Resource Center
Texas Grants Resource Center (TGRC), as a part of the foundation, serves as a bridge between the grant-seeking and the grant-making communities, providing information, training, and technical assistance for both nonprofit organizations and individuals. TGRC staff cannot assist with Hogg Foundation grant proposals.
