The Hogg Foundation’s Maria Bumpass was recently recognized for 20 years of service with The University of Texas at Austin at the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement’s all-division staff meeting.

Maria joined the foundation in August 1991 as a receptionist and currently serves as the executive director’s executive assistant. Over her 20 years, Maria has worked with four different executive directors – Dr. Wayne Holtzman, Dr. Charles Bonjean, Dr. King Davis and Dr. Octavio N. Martinez, Jr.

Today, she continues to be a critical asset to the foundation, ensuring that it runs as efficiently and effectively as possible day in and day out.

Over the years she has seen many changes, including moving offices from the foundation’s on-campus location to the Lake Austin Centre. She has witnessed the foundation adapt to the changing mental health field through its adoption of a competitive proposal process and its shift to key strategic areas that better advance mental wellness in Texas.

Congratulations, Maria! The foundation truly appreciates your service. Thank you for all that you do.
