Topic: “Grieving during our ‘New Normal'”
COVID-19 has plunged our lives into a ‘New Normal’ so much so that natural life events like grieving is not the same. Grief is a natural life occurrence. It comes in many forms – the death of a loved one, suffering or watching a loved one battle a severe illness, loss of a job, or dealing with racial injustice. Grieving in our new normal is complicated, given the restrictions imposed by this pandemic. We will explore what grief is and explain good grief vs. complicated grief. We will share the signs and symptoms of each and provide resources on how to handle your grief in our new normal.
