There is new incident reporting form for racism as related to COVID19. This is a collaborative effort between the Austin Asian Community Health Initiative (AACHI), the University of Texas at Austin Center for Asian American Studies, and City of Austin entities, including Austin Public Health, the Equity Office, Parks and Recreation department’s Asian American Resource Center, and Austin Public Library’s Austin History Center. The information is gathered and analyzed by AACHI, UT and APH. All three are promoting it on their website.

AACHI will follow up with folks to provide mental health/resources referrals as needed. So far, we have four cases and it crosses all races – Asian, Black, Latin X, and Native American.
