The following opportunity has been shared on behalf of a member or affiliate of the Austin Area African American Behavioral Health Network.

The Texas Systems of Care Policy Roundtable on Serving Youth with Co-Occurring Disorders is seeking young people and family members of young people with co-occurring disorders, to participate in their discussions.
The 2020 Policy Roundtable will bring voices of experience together, allowing for active and meaningful collaboration with:
• people with lived experience with mental health and
  substance use challenges;
• family members of young people;
• treatment providers;
• recovery high school leadership;
• recovery-oriented systems of care representatives;
• state agency representatives; and
• other stakeholders.
Attendees will identify priorities and develop recommendations to improve treatment services and recovery supports for youth with COD in Texas.
It is important that young people and family members of color are represented, recognizing that their experience in accessing care in both the mental health systems and the substance use treatment system may be different than others.
Andres Guariguata is chair of the planning group. For more information about the group and to participate please contact Andres at aguariguata@austin.utexas.edu.

This virtual event is scheduled for July 29, 2020
