Strengthening the health of our community and supporting people living with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) requires teamwork, innovative practices and collaboration. Join Integral Care and our criminal justice partners on Wednesday, November 20th at 11:00AM for a community forum exploring how community-wide collaboration is improving outcomes for people living with IDD who also intersect with the criminal justice system. Hear more about the forum from two of our panelists – Sarah Kuykendall, IDD Team Lead at Integral Care and Officer Ashley Uniszkiewicz, Crisis Intervention Team at Austin Police Department.

Other panelists include Deputy Chris Walsh, Mental Health Officer and Training Academy Instructor at Travis County Sheriff’s Office, and Kameron Johnson, Juvenile Public Defender at the Juvenile Public Defender’s Office. Louise Lynch, Integral Care’s Provider Network Authority Officer and former Director of Integral Care’s Intellectual and Developmental Disability Services will moderate the discussion. Lunch will be provided. The forum also features a Community Partner Education Fair to highlight the work of local organizations that support those living with IDD in Travis County.
