This training is part of our AMEN initiative to promote mental health awareness, reduce stigma and empower our local African American community to develop the knowledge, skills, and resources to support mental health and wellness within our neighborhoods and networks.
Join the AMEN team in a training on Adult Mental Health First Aid, where you will learn:
- how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults ages 18 and older,
- how to offer and provide initial help, and
- how to guide a person toward appropriate care if necessary.
Topics include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions. As a Mental Health First Aider, you can inspire hope in your communities and organizations. After completing this course, you will receive a certificate of completion.
