Mental Health Awareness Month 2026

More Good Days, Together

For the month of May, the Hogg Foundation is celebrating Mental Health Awareness Month. Throughout the month we’ll be highlighting this year’s theme, “More Good Days, Together,” with a focus on the diverse experiences that shape mental health journeys and resilience within Texas communities.

Video Submission Opportunity

We invite you to help spread the “More Good Days, Together” message by creating and sharing a short video describing what this theme means to you. The first 20 people to submit an eligible video will receive either a Hogg Foundation mug or notepad, plus a sticker.

Mosaic of Minds Exhibit

Last fall, the Hogg Foundation awarded a $14,000 grant to the Austin Independent School District (AISD) to promote mental health awareness through public art. Teachers and students at McCallum High School Fine Arts Academy created “Mosaic of Minds,” a work of ceramic sculpture and glass mosaic focusing on human expression and mental health experience. On June 4, we will host a public unveiling ceremony at the AISD Performing Arts Center to introduce their work to the wider community. Visit the event page and add it to your calendar. We remind you of the impact that word choice has on how we understand mental health and well-being. This resource offers guidance and suggestions for using language that demonstrates respect and autonomy for individuals with mental health experience.

We’ll explore how young people, and really anyone, can use their personal story to shape systems, influence policy, and make their communities stronger.
