AUSTIN, Texas – The Hogg Foundation for Mental Health is pleased to announce that it has awarded $100,000 for the Central Texas Healthy Minds grants. Ten organizations have been chosen for this special opportunity. The goal is to support mental health and wellness among communities in the Central Texas area.

“While most communities develop mental health conditions at about the same rate as white Americans, some are much less likely to seek support and care for a variety of reasons,” says Dr. Octavio N. Martinez, Jr., executive director of the Hogg Foundation. ”By investing in organizations that support mental health and wellness among communities in the Central Texas area, we hope to be part of the solution in addressing this inequity.”

“We’re proud to build on the important work of these impactful organizations,” says Vicky Coffee, director of programs for the Hogg Foundation. “Their work is vital to bridging the gap between the mental health provider community and consumers, youth, and families in need of care, resources, and support.”
