The Hogg Foundation for Mental Health Names Bridget Lawrence as New Assistant Director of Finance and Operations

AUSTIN, Texas – The Hogg Foundation for Mental Health has recently hired Bridget Lawrence as the foundation’s new Assistant Director of Finance and Operations. In this capacity, she oversees the foundation’s fiscal operations, grants management, accounting, procurement, endowments, IT services, and office management.

Lawrence has a Finance degree from Texas A&M University and a MBA from Texas A&M University – Commerce. She began her career with The University of Texas in 2008 as Financial Analyst for the Division of Recreational Sports in which she managed the financial functions of the division. In 2013, she accepted a role as the Finance Manager for Business and Financial Services (BFS) – Utilities and Energy Management (UEM). In this role, Lawrence managed the monthly utility billing process, accounts payable, accounts receivables and prepared monthly financial reports for the UEM staff. As a member of the BFS management team, she contributed to the formation of the department’s mission statement, goals, strategies, and action plans.

Martinez, Jr., executive director of the Hogg Foundation and associate vice president for diversity at The University of Texas at Austin. “Needless to say, Bridget will be playing a pivotal role in keeping us on track, and we welcome her to the team.”

The Hogg Foundation advances recovery and wellness in Texas by funding mental health services, policy analysis, research, and public education. The foundation was created in 1940 by the children of former Texas Gov. James S. Hogg and is part of the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement at The University of Texas at Austin.
