Young Minds Matter 2013
The Hogg Foundation for Mental Health invites you to attend Young Minds Matter: Transition-Age Youth.
Young Minds Matter is a free, one-day seminar for people who care about the mental health of children, youth and their families. This year’s seminar will focus on transition-age youth (TAY), young adults between ages 14 and 24.
The transitional period from youth to adulthood, school to employment, dependence to independence can be stressful and troublesome for all young adults. This transitional time can be particularly difficult for youth living with mental health conditions and their families. TAY are faced with additional challenges as they navigate the complexity of finding new mental health care and support, employment and housing.
Young Minds Matter will explore the journey from youth to independence. The information-packed seminar will highlight strategies and tips for successfully transitioning youth. The seminar is free and includes continuing education units (CEU) for select professionals and a complimentary breakfast and lunch. Space is limited and online registration is required. Registration is now closed.
