In order for participants to be eligible to attend facilitator training, do they need to have attended Mental Health Recovery Education and WRAP® through this project or would other trainings be accepted? The facilitator training will be open first to individuals in the project, as this is part of the underlying structure of the program. However, if the training is not full, it could be opened up to others interested in facilitating who have also completed a Mental Health Recovery Education and WRAP® training.
Is there anything in particular related to veterans that Hogg Foundation is looking for in this proposal? No, although if you are working with veterans, you might want to discuss that when you talk about diversity.
Who will define the regions? Regions and the order for the project rollout will be determined by the WRAP® for Texas Planning Committee. The committee will be minimally comprised of the grantee, the Texas WRAP® Coordinator and the Hogg Foundation representative.
How do we demonstrate statewide reach? In your project narrative discuss any established connections your organization may have around the state, any professional relationships or collaborations, your connection to any traditional and nontraditional mental health service providers, etc. You might also discuss any projects you have done in the past which reached out to other communities in Texas.
Do you encourage collaboration? We are open to collaboration, but we are not necessarily encouraging it. If you choose to collaborate, there must be one primary lead grantee that is the administrative and fiscal agent.
What exactly will the Texas WRAP® Coordinator do? The Texas WRAP® Coordinator will be responsible for leading the WRAP® for Texas Planning Committee, establishing regions in collaboration with the planning committee and reaching out to each region. The Texas WRAP® Coordinator will also work with the designated regional coordinator by assisting the regional coordinators in identifying the initial group of consumer participants for the Level One WRAP® series, setting up the statewide database, continuing to liaise with each regional coordinator, establishing support opportunities for advanced level facilitators, working with a contractor to create the smartphone application, liaising with the evaluation team and more.
Will there be planning committees in each region? At this point we do not envision the need for that but are open to the idea.
Will the Texas WRAP® Coordinator participate in the trainings? This doesn’t seem necessary as the Texas WRAP® Coordinator will have WRAP® experience and will not likely need this training.
Does the Hogg Foundation already have the structure laid out or is it flexible? The underlying three-year structure is already determined. The regions and the way the project is rolled out and sustained are flexible. Each region may have different needs and this structure will allow for that flexibility.
Is there flexibility in how much funding we request? Not at this time. The request cannot exceed $360,000 over the three year grant period.
Should a percentage of the executive director’s time be listed in overhead or personnel? Personnel.
Is there any part of this position that would provide direct services or WRAP groups? No, this person will not provide direct services or WRAP groups. The position will be responsible for coordinating WRAP groups but not leading them.
Are you looking to replicate the East Texas Pilot Project exactly or can the program focus on specific populations? We are looking to replicate the structure of the East Texas Pilot Project but are flexible on other aspects. We envision a broad adult population and are not trying to narrow the pool of potential participants at this time. Subgroups can certainly be included but should not necessarily be the focus of any one region.
Will the network coordinator contract with the advanced level facilitators and will the coordinator be supervising their work? The network coordinator will NOT contract with the advanced level facilitators but the regional coordinators will. The regional coordinators will supervise the work of the advanced level facilitators.
Will the grant recipient be administering the subcontract funds, holding them accountable to meet their outcomes, etc.? No, there should not be a need for subcontractors.
Will the network coordinator be involved in the regional efforts beyond identifying the initial group of consumer participants for the Level One WRAP® series in each region? The network coordinator will be minimally involved in the regions past this point.
