Presentation Materials

The Foundation provides PowerPoint presentations and other tools from seclusion and restraint reduction conferences and trainings. They are made available to assist individuals in creating their own seclusion and restraint reduction trainings.

Materials are available from Foundation-sponsored events, Foundation staff presentations, and Texas-based trainings. Foundation-sponsored events include:

• 2007 Conference
A conference for 2006 training institute participants focused on lessons learned from Texas agencies undertaking seclusion and restraint culture change

• 2006 Training Institute
A free multi-day training attended by teams from Texas nonprofits organizations, state agencies, and advocacy groups committed to seclusion and restraint reduction

• 2006 Teleconference
A training teleconference that covered core strategies for reducing seclusion and restraint use

• 2004 RLS Seminar
The Foundation’s 13th Robert Lee Sutherland Seminar, which featured expert presentations and workgroups
