AUSTIN, Texas – The Hogg Foundation for Mental Health announces Kendal Tolle as its new Program Evaluation Fellow. A recent graduate of The University of Texas at Austin’s School of Social Work master’s program with a concentration in community and administrative leadership, Kendal will be assisting with the evaluation of select Hogg Foundation grant programs.
Kendal completed her undergraduate education at the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Social Work and received recognition from the University Honors College for her senior thesis on developing diversity training for pre-service educators. During her undergraduate studies, Kendal completed an internship at a disciplinary alternative education program where she provided individual and group counseling services to students in grades K-12.
Her undergraduate internship led to a greater interest in program- and policy-level reform in education and mental health, which she was able to expand upon while attending graduate school at The University of Texas at Austin. In her graduate-level internship, Kendal worked with the Texas Parents as Teachers program within Mental Health America of Texas, providing technical assistance and resource opportunities to program sites across the state.
The Hogg Foundation advances recovery and wellness in Texas by funding mental health services, policy analysis, research and public education. The foundation was created in 1940 by the children of former Texas Gov. James S. Hogg and is part of the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement at The University of Texas at Austin.
