The Health Humanities Research Seminar announces

Dr. Jewel Mullen

“Health Equity and COVID-19 Vaccinations”

Monday, February 8, 4:00-5:15 pm via Zoom

Many thanks to those who attended Dr. Rishi Goyal’s December presentation on “The Humanities in the Emergency Room.” Our Spring 2021 seminar series will begin with a presentation by Dr. Jewel Mullen who last led the Health Humanities Research Seminar during its inaugural term of Fall 2018. Dr. Mullen’s upcoming presentation, “Health Equity and COVID-19 Vaccinations,” will reflect on her current work as one of eighteen members of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s influential Committee on Equitable Allocation of Vaccine for the Novel Coronavirus. Dr. Mullen will speak for about 30 minutes, followed by an equal amount of time for Q&A and group discussion.

Jewel Mullen, MD, MPH, is the Associate Dean for Health Equity at the Dell Medical School, as well as an associate professor in the school’s departments of population health and internal medicine.
